Sherwood Forest comes to Plymouth Sat 22nd May 10.15am – help support the Robin Hood on the banks.

We will be meeting at 10.15am outside the Student Union Shop on University campus, to walk into town together to bring information and inspiration about the idea of the Robin Hood tax to the people of Plymouth.

We need as many of us as possible there, you can either dress up as a Merry man or Woman in green, or if you are feeling executive to dress up as a banker – (we need some baddies!) we will supply green masks for you to wear and banners and leaflets to hand out to happy shoppers in town on a Saturday. We are also hoping to do some street theatre, of Merry men chasing the bankers and stealing their bags of gold coins… which again we will provide!

The press have been informed so we are hoping that this will prove to be a great day!

As this action will now be happening after the election we will be recording a video letter to the newly elected MP asking them to support the tax, and either support it if they haven’t stated that they do already, or if they are in support ask that they do everything in their power to make sure that the tax is implemented. We will be asking members of the public to join in and read sections of the letter to the camera as well to make this really interactive……..

it has been done around the country really successfully and it is about time Plymouth had an encounter with Sherwood Forest……….
