Tiverton Walk for Water is Gallons of Fun

As parishes and schools continue to take action with CAFOD this Lent and for the Thirst for Change campaign we’ve heard of yet another fantastic parish action. Sally Chapman our Parish Contact from St James’ Parish Church in Tiverton let us know about their successful Gallon Walk.

Tiverton Gallon Walk

St James’ Parish, Tiverton’s Gallon Walk for CAFOD’s Thirst for Change Campaign

Sally Said: “We had approx 30 walkers carrying 2 litres each some carried 10! The only complaint was that the weather was too nice for it to be a struggle! Anyway we had the Tiverton Gazette reporter who joined us at the end for a few pics and the walk featured in the following weeks paper. We kept the water containers and the water drop display made by the Confirmation Group on display linked to a water fountain Father prepared for the Easter Vigil and Sunday service. Fr Paul used the theme of water throughout the period of  lent so it all fitted in really well!”

Well done and thanks Tiverton!
