Rain’s not the only thing to fall from the sky to bring water to a poor community.

Crazy skydive to raise funds to provide clean safe water to a community.

skyGabriella Cornes, a parishioner of Newquay parish in Cornwall, will be completing a sponsored skydive for CAFOD.

She hopes to raise £750 that will pay for a Community water supply. This gift will help to provide the materials and know-how to build wells, water tanks and a reservoir, and to install and lay pumps, water pipes and taps to provide clean, safe water to an entire community.

She has chosen the charity because it does some really great work for overseas development in areas where people really need it.

Ideally she would really like to go and visit the community to see how the money has been spent and the work that has been done. Gabriella is really looking forward to the event which will be held in September.

She said ‘ I have been overwhelmed by the support that I have received so far. I would particularly like to thank all those who bought cakes and cookies for me in my recent cake sale at school!’
