New member of staff, new year, new challenge

Hi, my name is Brigid McEleney-Smith and I started working with the Plymouth CAFOD team 8 weeks ago as a Regional Communications Officer.

My role is to celebrate and promote the wonderful things you do throughout the region which help to change the lives of some of the world’s poorest women, men and children.

So if you are organising an event or have some news to share, I would love to hear from you. I can help as much or as little as you like with publicising your event, writing a press release or anything else you may need.

I am in the office on Thursdays and you can email or leave a message any time:

The Grizzly beckons

The Grizzly beckons

Inspired by the fundraising efforts I have seen already and the difference they make, I will be running ‘The Grizzly’ for CAFOD which is described by the organisers as “Twentyish muddy, hilly, boggy, beachy miles of the multiest-terrain running experience you will find this side of the end of time”!! I will keep you posted with training progress….

If you have a place in the Grizzly and would like to raise funds for CAFOD you can find a sponsor form and lots of other useful information at http://www.cafod.org.uk/Fundraise/Guide-to-fundraising or just give me a call.
